Who we are
In summer 2023, our bilingual day care centre has opened its doors in Dortmund’s city centre, located in the modernised new Health House. Spacious, bright and modern rooms are created on 978 m², which together with the 725 m² outdoor area offers plenty of space for playing, learning and discovering.
In order to create a family atmosphere in which the children feel comfortable and can develop their talents, we attach great importance to furnishing the new building with great attention to detail. Loving care and guidance by a team with different educational backgrounds is just as important to us as a wholesome, healthy diet. Our bilingual concept (German/English) is based on the immersion method, which means that at least one English-speaking specialist is part of the nursery staff. This person speaks English exclusively with the children, colleagues and parents.

What we offer
The group forms
At Villa Luna Dortmund, we care for up to 85 children from the age of 4 months until they start school. We have 5 groups for this purpose:
● Two groups for children aged 4 months to 3 years
● One group for children aged 2 to 6 years
● Two groups for children aged 3 to 6 years
Our colourful everyday life*:
● Bilingual care based on the immersion principle with one English-speaking team member per group.
● Variety of physical activity offerings.
● Regional, seasonal and wholesome meals freshly prepared in our house.

𝗨𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗘𝗶𝗻𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗵𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴𝘀𝗹𝗲𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗹𝗺𝗮 𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹𝘁 𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗵 𝘃𝗼𝗿
Sehr geehrte Eltern, liebe Kinder und liebes Team,
mit großer Freude und Begeisterung möchte ich mich Ihnen als die neue Leitung an der Seite von Andre vorstellen. Mein Name ist Alma Demiri und ich bringe viele Jahre Erfahrung in der pädagogischen Arbeit mit. Gemeinsam mit dem Villa Luna Team Dortmund haben wir im August 2023 die Einrichtung eröffnet und Leben in die Kuhstraße 4 gebracht. Besonders am Herzen liegt mir das Thema Partizipation, das ich gerne in den Mittelpunkt unserer gemeinsamen Arbeit stellen möchte.
Meine pädagogische Arbeit ist geprägt von einem wertschätzenden und respektvollen Umgang miteinander. Ich glaube fest daran, dass jedes Kind einzigartig ist und individuelle Stärken hat, die es zu fördern gilt. Deshalb setze ich auf eine Umgebung, in der sich jedes Kind wohl und sicher fühlt und in der es seine Persönlichkeit entfalten kann. Unsere Kita soll ein Ort sein, an dem Neugierde und Kreativität freien Raum haben und an dem das gemeinsame Lernen und Entdecken im Vordergrund stehen.
Für eine erfolgreiche Umsetzung dieser Ziele ist eine enge Zusammenarbeit zwischen Eltern und Team essenziell. Ich freue mich darauf, mit Ihnen in den Dialog zu treten, Ihre Ideen und Wünsche kennenzulernen und gemeinsam die bestmöglichen Bedingungen für unsere Kinder zu schaffen. Ihre Anregungen und Rückmeldungen sind für mich sehr wertvoll und ich lade Sie herzlich ein, aktiv an unserem Kita-Leben teilzunehmen.
Ich freue mich sehr auf die kommenden Aufgaben und Herausforderungen und auf eine vertrauensvolle und konstruktive Zusammenarbeit mit Ihnen allen. Lassen Sie uns gemeinsam eine Kita gestalten, in der sich Kinder, Eltern und Erzieher gleichermaßen wohlfühlen und in der jedes Kind die besten Voraussetzungen für seine Entwicklung erhält.

Dear parents, dear children and dear team,
It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I would like to introduce myself to you as the new manager at Andre's side. My name is Alma Demiri and I have many years of experience in educational work. Together with the Villa Luna Team Dortmund, we opened the centre in August 2023 and brought life to Kuhstraße 4. The topic of participation is particularly close to my heart and I would like to put it at the centre of our work together.
My educational work is characterised by appreciative and respectful interaction with one another. I firmly believe that every child is unique and has individual strengths that need to be nurtured. That's why I believe in an environment in which every child feels comfortable and safe and in which they can develop their personality. Our daycare centre should be a place where curiosity and creativity are given free rein and where shared learning and discovery take centre stage.
Close cooperation between parents and the team is essential for the successful realisation of these goals. I look forward to entering into dialogue with you, getting to know your ideas and wishes and working together to create the best possible conditions for our children. Your suggestions and feedback are very valuable to me and I cordially invite you to take an active part in our daycare centre life.
