Who we are
In August 2024, our bilingual daycare centre has opened in the quarter at Klosterwall in Hamburg’s city centre. Spacious, bright and modern rooms are created on 137m², which together with the beautiful outdoor play area on the roof (259m²) offer plenty of space to play, learn and discover.
In order to create a family atmosphere in which the children feel comfortable and can develop their talents, we attach great importance to furnishing the new building with great attention to detail. Loving care and guidance by a team with different educational backgrounds is just as important to us as a wholesome, healthy diet. Our bilingual concept (German/English) is based on the immersion method, which means that an English-speaking member per group is part of the nursery staff. This person speaks English exclusively with the children, colleagues and parents.
Our day care centre participates in the Kita-Gutschein system of the City of Hamburg.

At Villa Luna Hamburg Johann Kontor we care for up to 43 children aged 4 months to school age. We have 2 groups for this purpose.
● 1 nursery group for children from 4 months to 3 years of age.
● 1 kindergarten group for children from 3-6 years of age

Dino Hermann bei Villa Luna! 🤩
Zum Bundesweiten Vorlesetag war das Maskottchen des HSV in der Villa Luna Hamburg Winterhude sowie am Johann Kontor zu Besuch… und da Dino Hermann etwas schüchtern ist, brachte er auch einen menschlichen Freund mit. Dieser bereitete die Kinder einfühlsam auf das Erscheinen des imposanten Dinos vor und schließlich lasen beide aus einem lustigen Dino Hermann Buch vor. Die Kinder hatten eine Menge Spaß, hörten aufmerksam zu und kamen aus dem Staunen nicht mehr heraus. Zum Schluss bekam jedes Kind u.a. ein kleines, eigenes Dino Hermann Buch geschenkt, und die Kinder verabschiedeten das Maskottchen und seinen Begleiter mit einem selbstgebastelten Buch. Was für ein großartiger Vorlesetag! Vielen Dank, Dino Hermann.
Dino Hermann at Villa Luna! 🤩
The HSV mascot visited Villa Luna Hamburg Winterhude and the Johann Kontor for the nationwide Read Aloud Day... and as Dino Hermann is a bit shy, he also brought a human friend with him. The latter sensitively prepared the children for the appearance of the imposing dino and finally both read from a funny Dino Hermann book. The children had a lot of fun, listened attentively and were amazed. At the end, each child was given a small Dino Hermann book of their own and the children said goodbye to the mascot and his companion with a book they had made themselves. What a great reading day! Thank you very much, Dino Hermann.

Unser Morgenkreis findet auf Englisch und Deutsch statt. Dazu haben wir Bildkarten zu den Wochentagen, Liedern und Reimen, so dass alle Kinder selbständig teilnehmen können 🖼👍
Our Morning Circle takes place in English and German. We have picture cards for the days of the week, songs and rhymes so that all children can participate independently 🖼👍
