Who we are
From August 2021, our bilingual daycare center (German/English) will open its doors in beautiful Cologne Raderthal. With 500sqm of indoor and 800sqm of outdoor space, we offer the children here plenty of room to play, develop and discover their environment.
The bright, friendly rooms are spacious and are furnished with a great deal of professional expertise, so that the children can be lovingly cared for and individually supported in a family atmosphere.
Not only the Cologne Volksgarten, but also the nearby cultural institutions and other green spaces invite you to exciting excursions.
You can reach us easily via the nearby bus and train connections. In addition, you will find several parking spaces directly at the house.

The group forms
At Villa Luna Cologne Raderthal, we care for up to 40 children from the age of 4 months until they start school. We have 2.5 groups for this purpose:
● One and a half T2 groups for children aged 4 months to 3 years.
● One T3 group for children aged 3-6 years.
Our colourful everyday life*:
● Bilingual care based on the immersion principle with one English-speaking team member per group.
● High childcare ratio.
● Natural science program with a graduate chemist. Musical and artistic offers.
● Variety of physical activity offerings.
● Regional, seasonal and wholesome meals freshly prepared in our house.

Wir hatten erneut das Vergnügen, in Finkens Garten die heimische Natur spielerisch und mit allen Sinnen zu entdecken. Auf dem weitläufigen und abwechslungsreich gestalteten Gelände durften wir die faszinierende Welt von Wildkräutern, Obst- und Gemüsepflanzen sowie unterschiedlichen Baum- und Straucharten kennenlernen. Zwischen blühenden Beeten, duftenden Kräutern und naturnahen Lebensräumen konnten wir überall Spannendes erforschen. Während Vogelstimmen aus den Bäumen erklangen, wurden Insekten sowie andere Krabbel- und Kriechtiere aus nächster Nähe unter die Lupe genommen.
Der naturnah angelegte Garten eröffnet zahlreiche Möglichkeiten zum Entdecken, Bewegen und freien Spielen. Trampelpfade, natürliche Hindernisse, versteckte Winkel sowie kleine Hügel und Senken regen die Fantasie an und laden zu abwechslungsreichen Abenteuern ein. Gleichzeitig bieten offene Freiflächen Raum für gemeinsame Gruppenaktionen, kreatives Spielen und Naturerfahrungen in der Gemeinschaft. Wer Ruhe sucht, findet geschützte Rückzugsorte, an denen Kinder die besondere Atmosphäre des Gartens bewusst wahrnehmen, beobachten und entspannen können. So wird jeder Besuch zu einer lebendigen Begegnung mit der Natur und ihren vielfältigen Bewohnern.❤️
Once again, we had the pleasure of exploring the local natural world in Finkens Garten in a playful way that engaged all our senses. On the spacious and varied grounds, we were able to discover the fascinating world of wild herbs, fruit and vegetable plants, and various species of trees and shrubs. Amid blooming flower beds, fragrant herbs, and natural habitats, there was something exciting to explore everywhere. While birdsong echoed from the trees, we examined insects and other crawling and creeping creatures up close.
The naturally landscaped garden offers numerous opportunities for discovery, physical activity, and free play. Trails, natural obstacles, hidden nooks, and small hills and hollows spark the imagination and invite children to embark on varied adventures. At the same time, open spaces provide room for group activities, creative play, and shared experiences with nature. Those seeking tranquility will find sheltered retreats where children can consciously experience, observe, and relax in the garden’s special atmosphere. In this way, every visit becomes a vibrant encounter with nature and its diverse inhabitants.❤️

Im Rahmen unseres Haustierprojektes bekam unsere Kita in den letzten Wochen besonderen Besuch: Drei Hunde waren an verschiedenen Tagen zu Gast auf unserem Außengelände. Die Kinder freuten sich sehr darauf, die Tiere kennenzulernen und mehr über Hunde zu erfahren.
Zu Beginn wurde besprochen, wie man sich einem Hund gegenüber richtig verhält. Die Kinder lernten, dass man ruhig bleiben, den Hund nicht erschrecken und ihn nur nach Erlaubnis streicheln darf. Anschließend konnten die Kinder den Hund beobachten, Fragen stellen und ihn vorsichtig streicheln. Die Hunde waren alle sehr neugierig und kinderfreundlich- sie genossen es sehr, gestreichelt zu werden und ließen sich nicht aus der Ruhe bringen.
In diesem Projekt erfuhren die Kinder viel über die Bedürfnisse, Pflege und Ernährung eines Haustieres. Außerdem wurde darüber gesprochen, welche Verantwortung man übernimmt, wenn man ein Tier zuhause hat.
Der Hundebesuch war für die Kinder ein spannendes Erlebnis und eine tolle Ergänzung unseres Haustierprojektes. Die Kinder konnten viele neue Eindrücke sammeln und den respektvollen Umgang mit Tieren kennenlernen.🐶🐕
As part of our pet project, our daycare center has had some special visitors over the past few weeks: Three dogs visited our outdoor area on different days. The children were very excited to meet the animals and learn more about dogs.
We started by discussing how to behave properly around a dog. The children learned that they should stay calm, not startle the dog, and only pet it after asking permission. Afterward, the children were able to observe the dog, ask questions, and pet it gently. The dogs were all very curious and friendly toward the children - they really enjoyed being petted and remained calm throughout.
Through this project, the children learned a lot about the needs, care, and nutrition of a pet. They also discussed the responsibilities that come with having an animal at home.
The dog visit was an exciting experience for the children and a great addition to our pet project. The children gained many new insights and learned how to treat animals with respect. 🐕🐶
