Who we are
From August 2021, our bilingual daycare center (German/English) will open its doors in beautiful Cologne Raderthal. With 500sqm of indoor and 800sqm of outdoor space, we offer the children here plenty of room to play, develop and discover their environment.
The bright, friendly rooms are spacious and are furnished with a great deal of professional expertise, so that the children can be lovingly cared for and individually supported in a family atmosphere.
Not only the Cologne Volksgarten, but also the nearby cultural institutions and other green spaces invite you to exciting excursions.
You can reach us easily via the nearby bus and train connections. In addition, you will find several parking spaces directly at the house.

What we offer
The group forms
At Villa Luna Cologne Raderthal, we care for up to 40 children from the age of 4 months until they start school. We have 2.5 groups for this purpose:
● One and a half T2 groups for children aged 4 months to 3 years.
● One T3 group for children aged 3-6 years.
Our colourful everyday life*:
● Bilingual care based on the immersion principle with one English-speaking team member per group.
● High childcare ratio.
● Natural science program with a graduate chemist. Musical and artistic offers.
● Variety of physical activity offerings.
● Regional, seasonal and wholesome meals freshly prepared in our house.

Im Rahmen ihrer Ausbildung hat sich Lilli überlegt, passend zum Villa Luna BNE-Schwerpunkt gemeinsam mit einigen Kindern als Abschlussangebot Stangenbohnen zu pflanzen.
Diese können nun an unserem neuen Rosenpavillion hervorragend hochranken.
Parallel dazu haben wir kleine Snacks vorbereitet: z.B. frische Erdbeeren und Zartbitterschokomuffins mit fairem Kakao und Vanillemuffins. Hier sind wir schon bestens erprobt. Durch den zartbitteren Kakao schmecken die Muffins etwas kräftiger, aber sind schön fluffig im Inneren des Schokokerns…. ein bisschen Naschen der frischen Erdbeeren zwischendurch ist natürlich auch erlaubt! Und Pizza geht sowieso immer, denn selbst gemacht schmeckt es immer noch am Besten!
Christina Manook stellt uns in der musikalischen Früh- Erziehung ein Euphonium vor, das einer Tuba sehr ähnlich sieht.
Wegen seinem weichen angenehmen Klang wird das Euphonium oftmals auch als kleiner Bruder der Tuba angesehen. Der Name „Euphonium“ bedeutet aus dem griechischen übersetzt: wohlklingend – und das tut es in der Tat. Das Euphonium wird mit einem Trichter- oder einem Kesselmundstück gespielt.
Da Christina verschiedene mitgebracht hat, können wir nun alle einmal unser Glück versuchen, einen Ton aus dem Instrument heraus zu bekommen. Das ist gar nicht so einfach, wie es aussieht… und bringt viel Gelächter mit sich 😊.
As part of her training, Lilli thought about planting runner beans with some of the children as a final activity in line with Villa Luna's ESD focus.
These can now climb up our new rose pavilion.
At the same time, we prepared small snacks: e.g. fresh strawberries and dark chocolate muffins with fair trade cocoa and vanilla muffins. We are already very experienced here. The bittersweet cocoa makes the muffins taste a little stronger, but they are nice and fluffy inside the chocolate center ..... A little snacking on the fresh strawberries in between is of course also allowed! And pizza is always a good idea anyway, because homemade always tastes best!
Christina Manook introduces us to a euphonium, which looks very similar to a tuba, in early musical education.
Because of its soft, pleasant sound, the euphonium is often regarded as the tuba's little brother. The name “euphonium” translates from Greek as “melodious” - and indeed it is. The euphonium is played with a funnel or cup mouthpiece.
As Christina has brought several different ones with her, we can now all try our luck at getting a sound out of the instrument. It's not as easy as it looks... and brings a lot of laughter 😊.
