Please note:
Emergency care cannot be claimed if your child
- shows symptoms of illness.
- is in contact with infected persons or the contact took place less than 14 days ago.
- has stayed in a risk area and its return was less than 14 days ago.
We are constantly in close contact with the responsible authorities and will inform you as soon as changes occur. Stay healthy!
Financial support for parents by the federal government
On its website, the “Bundesministerium für Familie, Senioren, Frauen und Jugend” provides information about the following financial support options for parents (freely translated):
“Anyone who has to look after their own children due to school or daycare closure and cannot go to work should be protected against excessive loss of income. For this purpose, the infection protection law will be adapted. Accordingly, parents will receive compensation of 67 percent of their monthly net income (maximum 2,016 euros) for up to six weeks. The employer, who can apply for reimbursement to the competent state authority, will be responsible for payment.
The conditions for this are,
- that working parents have to look after children under 12 years of age because care cannot be provided otherwise,
- that flexitime or overtime credits as well as vacation are exhausted.
The revision of the Infection Protection Act is part of a social protection package adopted by the Federal Cabinet on 23 March. The legislative procedure is to be completed by March 29.”
